I can't even believe we are on the last week of summer vacation before school starts! It seemed like summer just began! It was so nice to be home this summer with my kids. We didn't do as much as I would have liked but we still had fun! Summer is my favorite time of year with fall being second. I just wish the summer months could last longer!
I have ordered some fall fragrances and will be adding those within the next week or so. Wax tarts will be available in the following scents: Autumn Woods, Apple Jack Peel, Pumpkin Walnut Biscotti, Pumpkin Crunch Cake, and Mulled Cider. I will be offering soap in Apple Jack Peel and Pumpkin Walnut Biscotti. I also would like to make a "Hunters Soap" for all of those hunters out there! Hunting season is right around the corner too! Another soap that I would like to introduce is Cinnamon Patchouli. I guess I had better get busy! With the kids going back to school next week, that shouldn't be a problem! I will have my 14 month old running around though! I have added a few pics of the summer.

I was able to get two new soaps made today. The first one is Oatmeal, milk and honey and the second one is Peppermint. They both smell so good! I can't wait until I can un-mold them. I think the hardest part about making soap is having to wait for at least four weeks for it to fully cure! On top of making soap today, I am trying to pack to go to a friends house overnight and pack for camping this weekend! It has been a pretty busy day so far. These aren't the best pics, but here are the soaps in their molds.
So this is my first attempt at a blog! So many people do it so I thought I would give it a try. I canned some pickles today. I haven't canned pickles in probably 6 or 7 years. I hope they turn out! I did the jars different so that all of them weren't the same. Some had garlic, crushed red pepper, jalapenos, and of course sprigs of dill and the dill heads. I can't wait to try them but I need to let them sit at least 3-4 weeks. I also have so much zucchini and am not sure what to do with it. I have already grilled it and made zucchini bread and banana zucchini bread. Any ideas would be appreciated! I am pretty much the only one in my house that eats zucchini. |
