These last two weeks have been super busy! The kids went back to school last week and now it is back to packing lunches, getting clothes ready and homework! I am kind of glad they are back in school to be back into a routine but I am also sad. I am sad because I don't get to see them all day and summer has come to an end. I am now home with my youngest daughter who will be 15 months in a week! She has been a handful too! I also just started watching a little boy a few hours a week.
I have managed to make a couple batches of soap with all of this craziness! I made an all natural baby soap that doesn't contain any fragrance. It was made with buttermilk, olive oil, coconut oil, carrots and sodium hydroxide. This soap should be ready by the middle of October. I also made an outdoorsman soap. It is also good in the kitchen for onion and garlic odors. This soap is camoflage and is made with Anise essential oil and I also added in some poppy seeds. This will be ready by Sep 26th so just in time for hunting season! Yesterday I made Apple Jack Peel soap. I tried to use some cut up soap pieces in the batter and thought it would turn out better than it did but that was really my first time using any type of embeds. I am posting some pics so you can see the soaps. Once they are ready, I will add them to the site. I made a Cinnamon Patchouli soap but I am waiting to see how it is once it is cured. I think it started to set up on me before I even poured it into my mold. It smells awesome though! I am really looking forward to this weekend even though the weather will be cooler. We are having a family weekend which we never get to have! We will be getting some things done around the house and spending some much needed time together!
